Jan Gralla
Percussionist, born in Olsztyn, a graduate of the State Music School of the 1st
and 2nd degree of the name of Fryderyk Chopin in Olsztyn in the class of M.Sc. Karol Jurczak. He developed his skills in the art of classical percussion, which led him to the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Currently, he is
a percussion student in the class of professor Henryk Mikołajczyk and Miłosz Pękala.
He collaborates with the Chopin University Modern Ensemble, with which he had
the pleasure to record a debut album nominated for the Fryderyk Award and to play many world premieres. He perfected his skills during the European Workshop for Contemporary Music alongside outstanding musicians from Ensemble Recherche and Ensemble Musikfabrik. He is also active in the student orchestra Chopin University Chamber Orchestra, with which he went on a month-long tour in China, took part in numerous artistic projects, performing at the Warmia and Mazury Philharmonic, the National Philharmonic, the National Opera, the National Theater, the New Theater, Polish Radio, the New Art Museum NOMUS, he also collaborated with the Polish Sinfonia Iuwentus Orchestra, the Polish Royal Opera, the Polish Radio Orchestra, Chain Ensemble, the Collegium Musicum choir and the Radzimir „JIMEK” Dębski orchestra.
He willingly engages in all kinds of concerts of contemporary music compositions, although he is also familiar with other musical trends. He is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist of the black metal group Varmia.
