Chopin\u2019s music in their interpretations was taken into space on board the Endeavour space shuttle. The orchestra has taken part in recordings of albums by Poland\u2019s greatest artists and toured Europe with YES. These are just some of the successes that have brought recognition to the excellent Sinfonia Viva orchestra.<\/p><p>Founded in 1998 on the initiative of Tomasz Radziwonowicz \u2013 violinist, soloist, chamber musician, arranger, composer and conductor \u2013 the Orchestra has participated in such major events as the new production of Maurice Durufle\u2019s Requiem with the Deutsch-Franz\u00f6sischer Chor Berlin under Brian Kruse Smith, <br \/>a concert in Nuremberg for the 10th anniversary of the Polish\u2013German Treaty <br \/>of Good Neighbourship and Friendly Cooperation, as well as the prestigious Menuhin Festival Gstaad (Switzerland).<\/p><p>The Orchestra has been awarded two Golden Records (both for the series Great Composers of Film Music: CDs with music by Waldemar Kazanecki and Krzysztof Komeda) as well as a Platinum award for The Most Beautiful Polish Love Songs. <br \/>In 2015 its album with Pasquale Anfossi\u2019s Oratorio La morte di San Filippo Neri (2014) received the prestigious Golden Orpheus \u2013 Orph\u00e9e d\u2019Or, Grand Prix of the French Academie du Disque Lyrique.<\/p><p>Sinfonia VIVA can also be heard on many albums recorded by eminent Polish artists, such as <em>3 and 4<\/em> by Andrzej Smolik, <em>Uniesienie<\/em> by Henryk Mi\u015bkiewicz, <em>ID<\/em> by Anna Maria Jopek, <em>Jest Cudnie and 50<\/em> by Maryla Rodowicz, and <em>Looking For Balance<\/em> <br \/>by Krzysztof Herdzin.
