After learning <br \/>to play the violin, piano and clarinet at the State Music Liceum in Wroc\u0142aw he undertook composition studies at the PWSM in Warsaw with G. Bacewicz and <br \/>A. Dobrowolski (1971 Diploma with Distinction) and at the Conservatory in Paris with O. Messiaen, I. Malec and G. Reibel (1980 Diploma \u201e\u00e0 l\u2019unanimit\u00e9\u201d <br \/>in composition and electro-acoustic music). In 1978 he took an internship <br \/>in composition with Y. Xenakis in Aix-en-Provence, 1981 in the computer music centre Inst. de Recherche et de Coordination ACOUSTIQUE \/ Musique (IRCAM) <br \/>in Paris. Since 1971, he collaborates with PR and TVP, and with the Experimental Studio of PR, in which he created many of his works with tape. Since 1982 he teaches piano improvisation in the J. Elsner State Secondary Music Scool <br \/>in Warsaw, At seminars for educators he has lectured on modern methods <br \/>of teaching improvisation with the use of computers. For his achievements in music education (his own original teaching programme) he received the Silver Cross <br \/>of Merit in 1996.<\/p><p>On 24 April 2004 he was awarded a Ph.D. Arts (artistic composition of music theory, specialism composition) by the K. Lipi\u0144ski Academy of Music in Wroclaw.<\/p><p>After receiving Ph.D. he began work on a course book with an accompanying book of exercises for the teaching of music in Polish junior high schools, as proposed by Nowa Era Education Publishers. At the same time, he began work on a large book project (450 pages), which was to be a course book for the teaching of IT music, <em>Muzyka Elektronika Informatyka<\/em> <em>[IT Electronic Music]<\/em>. Both of the above projects came to fruition and were published as course books: <em>Gra<\/em> <em>muzyka [Music to My Ears]<\/em> for junior high schools (Nowa Era Publishers, 2009), and <em>Muzyka\u00a0 Elektronika\u00a0 Informatyka [IT Electronic Music]<\/em>, 2010). Both of the above maintain their popularity in the education book market sector.<\/p><p>On 27 February 2017 he received the postdoctoral degree a Ph.D. Arts (artistic composition of music theory, specialism composition) by the F.
