W latach 1969-1974 studiowa\u0142 kompozycj\u0119 w Warszawskiej Wy\u017cszej Szkole Muzycznej (obecnie Uniwersytet Muzyczny Fryderyka Chopina) <br \/>w klasie prof. Piotra Perkowskiego i Romualda Twardowskiego, a w latach 1980-1981 w Pary\u017cu u prof. Oliviera Messiaena.<br \/><br \/>Jest autorem licznych kompozycji zebranych w 70 opusach, w\u015br\u00f3d kt\u00f3rych znajduj\u0105 si\u0119 utwory solowe, kameralne, symfoniczne, ch\u00f3ralne i kantatowe. Obok pracy tw\u00f3rczej, zajmuje si\u0119 te\u017c pedagogik\u0105. Jest profesorem zwyczajnym Uniwersytetu Kazimierza Wielkiego w Bydgoszczy. Od 50 lat zwi\u0105zany jest te\u017c ze Szko\u0142\u0105 Muzyczn\u0105 II st. im. J. Elsnera w Warszawie prowadz\u0105c zaj\u0119cia \u201ePropedeutyki kompozycji\u201d.<br \/><br \/>Za swoj\u0105 dzia\u0142alno\u015b\u0107 uhonorowany zosta\u0142 licznymi wyr\u00f3\u017cnieniami, m.in. Medalem Komisji Edukacji Narodowej, Odznak\u0105 Zas\u0142u\u017cony dla Kultury Polskiej, Srebrnym Medalem \u201eGloria Artis\u201d. W roku 2019 otrzyma\u0142 Z\u0142oty Krzy\u017c Zas\u0142ugi od Prezydenta RP i honorow\u0105 Nagrod\u0119 Edukacyjn\u0105 ZKP, a w roku 2010 nagrod\u0119 FENIKS za tw\u00f3rczo\u015b\u0107 sakraln\u0105.<\/p><p><em><strong>Hymnus Mater Dei Ursynoviensis<\/strong><\/em> <br \/><br \/>Utw\u00f3r powsta\u0142 w 2018 roku jako 14 kompozycja z cyklu <em>Hymn\u00f3w ku czci Matki Bo\u017cej<\/em> w r\u00f3\u017cnych wizerunkach w polskich Sanktuariach. Cykl skomponowany jest na ch\u00f3r <br \/>a cappella do s\u0142\u00f3w \u0142aci\u0144skich prof. Jerzego Wojtczak-Szyszkowskiego.<br \/><br \/>Obraz Matki Bo\u017cej Ursynowskiej pochodzi z XVI wieku. Namalowany jest w typie Hodegetrii. Sponiewierany i opuszczony, zosta\u0142 znaleziony na klatce schodowej <br \/>w jednym z blok\u00f3w na Ursynowie. Nie znaleziono sk\u0105d pochodzi. Po wnikliwej konserwacji ukaza\u0142a si\u0119 w pe\u0142nych barwach Matka Bo\u017ca z Dzieci\u0105tkiem Jezus. Ksi\u0105dz Prymas J\u00f3zef Kardyna\u0142 Glemp dokona\u0142 jego koronacji w 2006 roku, nadaj\u0105c tytu\u0142 Matki Bo\u017cej Ursynowskiej Wytrwale Szukaj\u0105cej. Obecnie obraz, otoczony czci\u0105, znajduje si\u0119 w Kaplicy Maryjnej.
