He studied the piano with Kazimierz Gier\u017cod and composition with W\u0142odzimierz Koto\u0144ski at the Music Academy in Warsaw. He also participated in many composition workshops, including with Hanna Kulenty, Henryk Miko\u0142aj G\u00f3recki, Michael Nyman, Louis Andriessen, and Tristan Murail, as well as contemporary music festivals such as ISCM World Music Days, Musica Polonica Nova, Warsaw Autumn, and Pozna\u0144 Music Spring. He has held scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the City of Warsaw, and Society of Authors \u2013 ZAiKS.
As a\u00a0member of the MM Group, he has worked at the intersection of music and visual arts. He has cooperated notably with Eugeniusz Rudnik, Fryderyk Rzewski, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Orkest de ereprijs, the Viktor Lois\/Yin Peet duo, Azorro Group, Bang on a\u00a0Can, and Beijing\u2019s Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra. He has authored the bugle-call of Rzesz\u00f3w, as well as music for animated films (notably by Jan Lenica, Daniel Szczechura, Marcin Gi\u017cycki, Agnieszka Skolik, and Tomasz Kozak), theatre, and computer games. He has a\u00a0long-standing partnership with the Children\u2019s Arts Centre in Pozna\u0144, for which he has composed over a\u00a0dozen works, often actively involving the audience.
