He is head of Chopin University Electronic Music Studio, at the Faculty of Composition and Theory of Music, Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">His works have been performed at many festivals in Poland and abroad, including New Music Concerts (Toronto), Warsaw Autumn, Polish Modern: New Directions in Polish Music Since 1945 (New York), Intersonanzen (Postdam), Afekt Festival (Tallin), Musica Electronica Nova (Wroc\u0142aw), AudioArt (Cracow) by ensembles such as Musikfabrik, Polish Radio Orchestra, United Instruments of Lucilin, Gorz\u00f3w Philharmonic, New Music Concerts Ensemble, Wratislavia Orchestra, Kwartludium and Hashtag Ensemble.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">He writes both acoustic and electroacoustic music, as well as works for theatre and film. In his music he uses objectophones \u2013 musical instruments he constructs out of everyday objects, the sound of which is transformed live. He is a creator of Gesturephone \u2013 electroacoustic instrument, in which the sound is controlled by gestures. He also uses rare and unusual string instruments, such as zithers or Harry Partch instruments.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Wojciech B\u0142a\u017cejczyk has won prizes at several competitions for composers, including<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> Prix CIME 2019 (<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">reward of International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music) for the piece <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>#NetworkMusic<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">, the 3rd Prize at the 1st Arboretum International Krzysztof Pendrecki Competition as well as the 2nd and 1st Prize at the Tadeusz Baird Competition for Young Composers (2010 and 2011). His <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>Warsaw Music<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> was a finalist of the European Broadcasting Union\u2019s 2016 Palma Ars Acustica. In 2013 he took part in the IRCAM Forum Workshops in Paris and in 2017, in the Composer Collider programme with the Musikfabrik Ensemble (2017). He released CD&#8217;s <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>Loopovisations<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> (For Tune Records, 2013), <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>Trash Music<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> (Requiem Records, 2018) and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>General Theory of Relativity<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> (KAIROS, 2021, with Klangforum Wien) as well as improvised CD&#8217;s with Hashtag Ensemble (<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>Visegard Songs<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">, 2013, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>#Witkacy<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">, 2018, both released by Requiem Records).<\/span><\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Wojciech B\u0142a\u017cejczyk is also active as a guitarist. He performs new music on the electric guitar and using electronics. He has appeared in concert at festivals such as Warsaw Autumn, Sacrum Profanum, Ad Libitum, Intersonanzen, Ankunft: Neue Musik, Olympus Jazz Festival. He is a member of Hashtag Ensemble, a group specialising in new music. In addition, he performs improvised music, as a soloist, using guitars, electronics and objectophones, as well as appearing notably with Mud Cavaliers, Electronisches Gl\u00fcck, Adam Piero\u0144czyk, Agata Zubel, Krzysztof Knittel and Jo\u00eblle L\u00e9andre.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">As a sound engineer, he specialises in recording and projecting sound at concerts of new music as well as creating sound design for film. He conducted electroacoustic music workshops at the Synthesis International Composition Course in Radziejowice.
