Lilianna Zalesinska i Piotr Szymanowicz

one of the most interesting Liedduo in Poland performing many important music cycles as well as rarely played Polish music pieces. Both musicians have developed their skills during special programme for Duos in Royal Conservatorium in Brussels and have worked there with such highly acclaimed musicians as Peter Schreier, Udo Reinemann, Hartmut Hoell, Roger Vignoles, Edith Wiens, Wolfram Rieger, Konrad Richter, Mitsuko Shirai.  In A. Rubinstein Philharmony in Lodz/Poland they played a premiere performance of music piece composed specially for them by prized composer Artur Zagajewski. During Chopin Year 2010 as the only Liedduo they presented  song recitals in the popular cycle “200 concerts for 200 anniversary” organised by Chopin Society in Warsaw. In March 2011 they were awarded with first prize during Liedduo Competition in Köln in Germany. They participated in gala opening concert of the Les Heures Romantiques Chamber Music Academy in France, in Istanbulthey presented a recital in Albert Long Hall, in Cologne their concert had the patronage of eminent figure - Mr. Dietrich Fischer- Dieskau. In 2014 they gave a special recital during Andrzej Panufnik Centenary in presence of Lady Camilla Panufnik. Furthermore they have been invited to perform during the biggest Lithuanian St. Christoph Festival in Vilnius, as well as to Helsinki where they gave a  recital on Polish Independence Day.

With over 50 recitals musicians have performed in various European countries like Poland, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece, Finland, Lithuania, Turkey and participated in many concerts and events.

Lilianna Zalesińska

Studied voice atThe Academy of Music in Lodz/Poland, earning an Honors Master of Music Degree and accomplished her post-gradual studies at The University of Music in Vienna/ Austriawith unanimous distinction (2008).She is also an alumna of The Institute of Art Historyat Warsaw University. She participated in master classes with Teresa Żylis- Gara, Raúl Giménez (Akademie BelCanto), Marjana Lipovšek, Alfred Burgstaller (Mozarteum), Claudia Eder, Helena Łazarska, Udo Reinemann.

The singer was a recipient of Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Swiss Foundation of Dr. Robert and Lina Thyll- Dürrscholarships.

The laureate of numerous vocal competitions is also the winner of The International Competition of the Chamber Opera in Rheinsberg where she made her debut still being a student as Mathilde in Haendel’s “Ottone” first German speaking version in the performance directed by Harry Kupfer. Her operatic parts include operas by Haendel, Mozart, Puccini, Humperdinck (Mutter und Hexe in “Hänsel und Gretel” in Vienna) and title part in unique Balducci’s „Boabdil- Re di Granata” (Germany- first premiere performance since year 1827). She was also chosen to sing in the opera „Schlafes Bruder” by Herbert Willi in Neue Oper in Vienna.

Lilianna Zalesińska is being invited also to sing oratorio music. She performed f. e. Joseph HaydnStabat Mater during Haydn Year 2009 (France), G. Mahler 2. Symphony during Mahler Year, J. S. Bach Magnificat, W.A. Mozart Krönungsmesse (Vienna, Schoenbrunn) to name a few.

Ms. Zalesińska participated in premiere performances of contemporary compositions during ISCM festivals in Vienna among others in renown Konzerthaus under the auspices of President of The Republic of Austria. In 2011 and 2012 she has performed during the opening concert during one of the biggest international festival for contemporary music “Warsaw Autumn” with the best Polish orchestras, as well as many Polish and international music festivals, likefamousIzmir International Festival, SIMN Romania (where she was invited  with recital as “Prestigious Guest”), 50. Jubilee Lancut Music Festival, Rossini Festival, Musica Moderna, Jeunesse Österreich, Les Heures Romantiques, Chanterelle, Viva il Canto, Forum Musicum, Max Reger Tage and many others.

Ms. Zalesinska has made recordings for The Polish Radio, The Radio Lodz and for the biggest Polish privat TV- “Polsat” where she recorded live “Stabat Mater” by G. B. Pergolesi. Aria’s evening with her performance as well as Berlin recital in 2013 was transmitted in RBB/Germany.

In addition to performing, the singer has given a Masterclass for German Romantic and Postromantic Lied at  High School of Music in Lodz/ Poland.

Piotr Szymanowicz

Graduate of Solo Piano Faculty of The Academy of Music in Łódź/Polandand postgraduate studies at theUniversity of Music in Vienna/ Austria in the fieldPiano and Song Chamber Repertoire. He participated in master-classes with Hartmut Hoell, Jerzy Marchwiński, Karl- Peter-Kammerlander developing his interest in chamber music. His repertoire includes music pieces with such instruments as clarinets, cello, violin, viola and voice.

In season 2005- 2007 Mr. Szymanowicz was a cooperated member of Philharmonic Orchestra of Artur Rubinstein Philharmony in Łódź where he has played all taste instruments parts in the orchestra, including harpsichord in Baroque music pieces. Nowadays he cooperates with National Philharmonic  in Warsaw.  The pianist is also a committed teacher for chamber music ensemble in High School of Music in Łódź.
