composer, songwriter, manager and italianist. In her works she focuses mainly on color – on the way timbres are being mixed and on nuances that form a multidimensional but coherent image. Composer fervently reach for a non-obvious combinations such as junction of harp and piano in Shadow lines or a mix of soprano and baritone saxophones with electronics in Dream argument. Her interests are oriented on different music genres. She is a founder and a leader of FJORS (compositions, voice, keys, electronics).
She is a laureate of the 1st Prize at 56. Tadeusz Baird Young Composers Competition and a beneficiary of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy Association’s program – „Music Our Times” — as a part of which Shadow lines and Volière II were recorded by the DUX Recording Producers, published by the Polish Music Publishing House.
Her compositions were performed in the United States, Denmark and Poland, inter alia at the International Festival of Contemporary Music „Warsaw Autumn”, Pulsar Festival in Copenhagen, Panorama Festival in Aarhus, in the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre of Music, the Pomeranian Philharmonics and Nowy Teatr. As a member of two improvising collectives she performed inter alia in Budapest (UNITRA trio formed with flutist Ania Karpowicz and performer Marta Grzywacz) as well as at Containerklang in Cologne, Ad Libtum Festival in CSW (Warsaw) and the Warsaw Sanatorium of Sound in SPATiF (19/91 trio formed with Teoniki Rożynek and Żaneta Rydzewska).
Since 2019 she has been a manager of Hashtag Ensemble, music cooperative specialising in contemporary music. As an associate producer she worked for Quartessence Festival (Royal String Quartet), Słuchy — concerts to be toured, Kwadrofonik Festival, Dark Matter(s): Mykietyn & Peszat (2017). In 2015, with Teoniki Rozynek, Zaneta Rydzewska and Rafal Ryterski, she founded composers’ group gen~.rate. Between 2015 and 2019 they produced New Music Concerts series and coproduced polysensory spectacle EMBODY.
In February 2020 she took part in the Creators Conference organized by the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA) in Brussels, dedicated to the problems of music creators. Together with Aafke Romeĳn, representatives of the European Parliament and the Creative Europe program, she discussed on the needs of the music sector and how it is reflected in the upcoming initiatives and the legislative proposals of the EU institutions.
She has graduated from the University of Warsaw with MA in Italian studies, in the meantime completing a part-time program in cultural production, journalism and multimedia at LUMSA University in Rome. As an interpreter she collaborated with the National Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Cinema Italia Oggi film festival (Muranow Cinema / Cinecittà LUCE / Italian Institute of Culture) and the directors duo Manetti Bros. She has also graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music where she has completed „Artist Management” Postgraduate Program carried out in collaboration with Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw and composition under prof. Marcin Blazewicz and prof. Krzysztof Baculewski. In the meantime she has completed a part-time composition studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus under Simon Steen-Andersen and Niels Rønsholdt.
Her artistic experience also consist of various workshops, inter alia: Opera Lab in Moscow (2018), Komposition-Intensivwoche in Sauen (Carola Bauckholt, Caspar Johannes Walter, Manos Tsangaris; 2018), „Warsaw Autumn” workshops with Bernhard Lang (2018) and Pierre Jodlowski (2017), Donaueschingen Musiktage (2016).
